As an 80’s kid living in Los Angeles, I grew up on a healthy diet of surfing, skateboarding, shopping malls, low-riders, drive-ins, street tacos, concrete, checkerboard Vans, palm trees, orange groves, mariachis, punk rock, freeways, perpetual summers, Disneyland and cable TV.
I’ve flipped burgers, delivered newspapers, built children's furniture, worked at department stores, framed houses, and sold women’s shoes at Nordstrom. I studied architecture, graphic design, and finally advertising. I have traveled to over 25 countries and quite a bit of the States, mostly living out of a backpack.
All of this experience has given me more compassion, patience, wonder, and inspiration…perfect for a career in advertising and storytelling.
Over my career, I’ve held key creative and strategic leadership positions at top-tier agencies and have led fully integrated, multi-platform business-building campaigns for an eclectic mix of national and global clients. I love building high-performing teams and tuning brands, large and small to become better positioned, more disruptive, and grow in the marketplace.
A few of my beliefs: Start with empathy. Make it simple. Every business is a service business. Your customer is a human being with fears and dreams, just like you. Every day is a new opportunity. Travel is the best education. Optimism is infectious. Spend more time outside. Be thankful. Kiss your kids and spouse every night. It is all a gift.
